My zyliss salad spinner has developed mould in the top of the spinner which seems to be impossible to open up for thorough cleaning. CAN it be opened? If not, how can I clean it or do I need to discard it as I'm sure it's not healthy!

If it has a round/oval rubber bits in centre underneath push them away from the hard clear plastic, will then come apart
Yes, got that. But that doesn't access the pulley string.
I have just purchased the SwiftDry salad spinner and used it once. I see some drops of water have entered the lid and I cannot get in there to remove them. Air drying does not seem to have any effect. I am concerned that mould will gather.
What can I do please?

If its the as the one i had under tge top is a white rubber circle wirh grooves? The push towards each other and you can separate the two tip6 halves

The lid only has one white piece in the middle that is attached to the spinning mechanism ..which seems tightly in place ..should it come apart ?
I have had my Zyliss salad spinner for about 15 years and always take the top part to clean. I let it dry out for a day then all is good to spin, however this last cleaning the top spins when off the bowl but won't spin once I snap it back on the bowl. What's up with that?

From memory... Inside the centre are 2 or 3 plastic clip things just press them away from the clear plastic and the inside should just come away

Is it possible to obtain the 'lids only' for the Zyliss Easy Spin? I, like so many others, have broken the string on mine and wouuld lke to get just a new lid (or 2)

It's not only the string that breaks, but the lid fails to grip the spinning bowl. So 2 major problems with this item.
