Shifter novel about dragons.

A dissimilar take on this blazon of paranormal romance because of it being about dragons.

A standalone story, with different POVs, does contain linguistic communication and sexually explicit scenes.

Sexy, Hot, Steamy and a bit of action. Yes this is a ménage book but it'southward not tasteless. I would accept liked more story between the threesome.

Bride of the Dragons was porn making a half-assed endeavor to wearing apparel upward every bit fantasy romance—which would have been fine if the reader was fabricated aware of that, rather than existence tricked past a description that was more complex than the actual story. There was so much potential for this to be astonishing, but no follow-through: there's no character development, no romance or globe building, and the underlying 'conflict' often got side-lined for the sex. I most feel like what Ms. Coffey published was her crude plot-outline rather than the finished story; the nuts were covered fleetingly and there were clearly holes where more than information was needed.

Adelina, Elokon, and Siron COULD have been really awesome characters and their relationship had the potential to grow into something strong, beautiful, and worth rooting for. The authenticity was that they sprang into the story fully-adult (i.due east. they showed no growth, rather than that they were fleshed out and multidimensional) and they got naked together right abroad. Adelina's pure-daughter-who-needs-to-make-a-expert-marriage protests were token at best and basically a folio-waster, considering how quickly she gave in to the dragon pair. Her character was too inconsistent, and her actions tended to be at odds with her stated personae: an "innocent" girl doesn't tell 2 guys she wants to come with them insider her. The interactions between Elokon and Siron, as alpha and omega, where a bit more than detailed, simply they also made the reader very aware of missing context and groundwork. The three of them together just…had a relationship and we never got to run across information technology grow or develop. I judge all that stuff happened in one of the random time jumps? Regardless, the lack made it incommunicable to connect with the characters and didn't provide much in the way of reasons to pull for them, fear for them, or empathize them.

The whole Naga-invasion thing, once again, had the potential to be a good plot-driver, but it was and so frequently forgotten and then picked back up over again that information technology was totally ineffective and uninteresting. At that place were also jumps in time with no explanation or even a solid idea of how much time had actually passed, which was both confusing and abrasive. We're given goose egg backstory on the characters, the world, or the conflict and in that location was a glaring lack of context for a lot of what was going on hither. Bride of the Dragons was basically all action of 1 diverseness or some other, but no context, intent, or filler to help us connect with, well, anything. It truly read more like an outline than a finished product. I get the impression that this is how the author writes well-nigh of her stories, though.

For me, the only redeeming quality about Bride of the Dragons was the sex. Ms. Coffey penned a few decent trysts between the dragons and their bride. Unfortunately, that wasn't enough (for me, anyhow) to comport an unabridged story. As for the editing…it was ok, but I spied enough typos to make me wonder if the writer employed an editor for this. Another run-through wouldn't be amiss to weed out things like extra quotation marks.

Bottom line: Meh. It's hard not to approximate this story based on what information technology could accept been, considering the reality was pretty disappointing. If you lot're into shifter romance and don't listen a lack of plot or character development, you lot might enjoy this. At least information technology was brusk, I guess.

Bride of the Dragons would exist a perfect volume for the beach/pool. The storyline is non complicated and information technology is pretty easy to choice up if you had to put it down. Helpmate of the Dragons would be a perfect book for the beach/pool. The storyline is non complicated and information technology is pretty like shooting fish in a barrel to selection upwards if you had to put information technology down. So no confusing plotlines to call back. Just a straightforward story with a bit of romance, a lot of sex, some intrigue and activity thrown in.

I felt bad for Adelina during the course of the book. She goes from beingness desperate and willing to do anything to avoid going to a nunnery to being an outcast within Elokon and Siron'due south Bluish Dragonflight. She had to deal with Fera and Fera's attempts to bulldoze her out. I recollect that I actually said "abound a backbone" and "Stand up for yourself" to myself in a fit of book rage. I couldn't believe how she allow this woman walk all over her. I seriously wanted to get into the book and shake her (well Fera and Adelina….only mainly Adelina). Just, things practice change, for the better, and I was very happy with the finish of the volume.

I actually liked how the author described the ménage between Elokon, Siron and Adelina and ultimately, the love story. See, the dragons mate for life with their soul mates. They know who their soul mates are as soon every bit they look at them and usually, the feeling is mutual. What was interesting in this instance was that Elokon and Siron have to share a mate. They are the Alpha and Omega of their Dragonflight…which means that they balance each other out and they cannot have carve up mates from each other. And so, when Elokon felt that spark with Adelina, so didn't Siron and fortunately, Adelina felt it too.

There was a lot of controversy around having Adelina marry them (well technically she married Elokon). Like I said above, dragons marry for love and for life….while humans marry to promote the all-time bloodlines and humans required dowries to marry. Which is truthful in the olden days, for the aristocracy required it and the marriages were marriages of convenience….marriages without honey. Elokon didn't empathize how humans could practice that. He as well couldn't understand the dowry (to be honest, neither do I….lol).

The sex scenes betwixt Adelina, Elokon and Siron were pretty hot. Normally, threesome are non my cup of tea merely this i was actually pretty good.

The sub storyline of the Naga was very interesting too and I liked the twist that the author threw in regarding them. Looking back, it actually made sense (read the book to find out what I mean).

How many stars volition I give Bride of the Dragon: 4

Offset off, I do not like erotic romances. They always have shallow characters and stories, with no grapheme depth or characteristics whatsoever. There aren't fifty-fifty believable chemistry between the lovers, despite all the 'actions' considering their character build is so shallow. But I have to admit, this is a wonderfully well-written book for an erotic romance (much to my pleasant surprise). Because even though information technology is insta dearest, the story itself and the characters are in depth and not shallow, and the book is filled with globe building that involved monarchy, dragons, beloved, and ability. The story flowed and wrapped up beautiful despite its short length, making it a wonderful and enjoyable yet not too long fantasy book with royalty and dragons. Which is refreshing and relaxing when someone is looking for a 'break read' from all the other complicated world building books and etc.

I like the medieval tone of the book, and I call back the author through this made the world edifice very believable and overall very enjoyable.

And like I mentioned before, there were no shallow characters. Despite its curt length, we can see depth and emotions through the characters, and the old saying: shown and non told. For example, merely through the kickoff 2 chapters, we were able to see Adelina's suffering from beingness the tertiary daughter, 'the unwanted one'. We also meet how she is treated horribly by her family, her sister in particular.
Overall, this was a short erotic romance that surprised me with its well-written plot-line, world building, and character evolution. I volition propose this to readers who are just trying to read a short, relaxing and hot fantasy romance story that involves royalty and some forbidden romance.

Selina Coffey has written beautifully their honey story. And it is a love story even though for Adelina information technology starts out as an escape from life in a cloister. "...her soul was complete, for she found kindness in Siron and fierce intelligence in Elokon, laughter and pleasure with them both. Information technology was something she could never have imagined, and it had been hers, more than wonderful each day." (54% Kindle edition)

Bride of the Dragons isn't merely a dear story. It is well-nigh accepting a stranger into your home and non giving into the fearfulness of unknown. The story has also side plots that include hostile takeover effort, war and fighting the enemies in all fronts.

Bride of the Dragons is very well written and the period of the story is effortless. I enjoyed reading it.

It is explained that Siron is around because he is more at-home and thoughtful than Elokon and just together can they rule correctly. The first story about the Dragon shifters was ok. It did take a skillful plot and alpha males with sex scenes that where good also. The 2nd story about a wolf shifter started ok simply speedily went in a direction that ruined information technology for me. I stopped reading at that point and didn't read the other stories. I gave it a 2 because the 1st story deserve a 3 and the 2nd deserved a 1, so information technology averaged a 2.

Headed to the nunnery Adelina is out to observe a husband and finds more than she expected. Elokon & Siron take been searching for their mate but is the timing all wrong with them preparing for state of war & trying to forge allegiance with humans?
Adelina is strong, determined yet vulnerable. Elokon & Siron are exact opposites but compliment each other perfectly. It was great! I loved the corporeality of emotions they all deal with.

Elokon and Siron had nearly lost all promise of finding their true mate until they spotted Adelina at the ball; she notwithstanding had other plans. Luckily Siron was able to convince her to take a take a chance on loving them amidst a brewing war. I thought it was really great that some of the omega's traits were rubbing off on the alpha and helped him to see what was happening in his kingdom.

This is a short romance book that is a nice read. The characters are well developed and I liked the premise of the shape shifters and the humans coming together. The book is quite steamy and while this isn't a genre I typically read, I found myself getting caught upward in the plot and the story. It unfolds nicely and holds your interest.
